Columbus B. "Corky" Courson Death.

Pamela`s dad Columbus B. Courson died at 90 years old a few days ago, and my deepest sympathies goes to his family!

But here is the thing:
Patricia Kennealy wrote about his death at her Myspace page.
look at what she wrote.

Yes i agree, that is no way to speak of anyone, let alone an elderly gentleman who has just died. Patricia will not know about the families business and has no right to assume she does. As for sayin he pimped his whorish daughter, well how lovely. I honestly haven't heard such cruel words for a long time. some people just have no respect. Patricia is supposed to be a witch and as someone who follows the old religion myself, she should know that it is wrong to speak of people this way and to wish others ill will. well they do say yu get things back three-fold so i guess she will get hers

I think this latest rant is just further proof that Kennealy is more than a little off her rocker. Why she would take her already mindless, jealousy-based hatred of Pamela and project it onto Pamela's father is a bit of a mystery, aside from the fact that Kennealy is so full of hate she spews it on pretty much any available (and easy - she mostly goes after the dead) target. Corky had nothing to do with Pam and Jim hooking up, so it's a further mystery how he "pimped" his daughter to a man he'd never met (or probably heard of) until Pam introduced them, after the two were already a couple. As for Jim's legacy, Corky never asked for it; it was thrust upon him. After it was, he did the best he could with it. But I have to doubt if he'd been given the choice between having Jim's money and having his only biological daughter back, he'd choose his daughter. I think it should be clear to anyone by now that Kennealy is a miserable, unhappy person. It's easier for her to blame her misery on everyone else, throughout history, than to accept responsibility for her own poor choices and her own poor character, which is where that blame belongs.

By the way, are we even sure Corky's dead? I haven't been able to find anything in the news about it for the past month. There would have at least been a death announcement or obituary in the local paper, if nowhere else.

Interestingly, in Corky's hometown paper obit (Santa Barbara), there is NOT ONE WORD about Jim. Nor should there be: Corky had nothing to do with him, though I do believe they met. Just "Preceded in death by his daughter Pamela Susan." Not, you will note, "Pamela Susan Morrison," though the surviving Courson daughter, Judy, is mentioned as "Judith Burton." Thank the gods for small favors.



Oh, and thanks to everyone who helped get those vile weasels off Amazon. I got a nice email the other day from customer service saying the sender had gone to remove them and found that a colleague had already done so. Well done, all!"

Just randomly...the only living thing I knew named "Corky" was my Grandma's parakeet. Obviosuly he couldn't help it but he was kind of mentally challenged and liked to bite. Hmmm...they say it's all in a name, eh? (...My apologies ahead of time to any of you nice, wonderful, good people with the nickname, I just know in my one experience "Corky" was a REAL bird-brain!...)

Mr. Morrison was so young still and Pam's father lived to be 90 and it doesn't seem fair.

I am so glad to hear that these Amazon weasels are gone finally and justice has been served.

Myself I had gotten a couple of monkeys off my back too (FINALLY) this last week and am doing a dance myself.

Hope I don't trip on my two left feet. Looks like the karma wheels has been turning lately.

All Hail the Dragon Empress!!!

I was beginning to wonder about Amazon. I have filled out about 10 different complaints on several different "critics" who were making personal attacks.
'Bout d**n time!

As to Corky, I don't understand why people just don't try and live their own lives instead of trying to live their life through someone else. I have an exfiance whose mother still tries to do that.

Because there was all Jim's money involved. Pam died intestate when she OD'd, so her inheritance from Jim went to her parents, since he didn't make any provisions as to it reverting to his brother and sister in the event of her death. His parents then sued the Coursons for the estate, and they ended up splitting it. Charming. Though I'd have to say that his family had way more right to it than hers.

The Coursons even published two books of Jim's incomplete poetry UNDER THEIR COPYRIGHT. Which they could do and I can't, though we'll see...

How sad that Pam's dad has passed, but he lived a long life and appears to have many people who thought quite highly of him.

What a disgraceful thing to write about someone. I can't believe after all this time Patricia Kennealy still holds on to so much hatred and bitterness. What a silly woman!

Does it irritate anyone else that she uses the name Morrison? From everything I've read, Jim didn't recognize the Pagan ritual they had as a marriage. It seems she is using Jim's name for her own personal benefit. To make it worse, she has the audacity to continue to slander Pam when she was Jim's true love. It really pisses me off!

I would encourage anyone who didn't actually know the family and who wasn't actually acquainted with Corky to please NOT sign the online guest book. It's simply not appropriate. It's not the place for fans to connect with the family, even if they do feel like they're expressing sincere emotions. Trust me, the family will not like it or appreciate it. They've clearly and deliberately gone to great lengths to keep Corky's association with Jim out of this (they didn't even use Pam's last name in the obit), so I think it would be nice if fans respected their privacy and left the guest book strictly to the Coursons' own family and friends and personal colleagues and acquaintances.

I agree, Patricia. From reading the obit messages, one can tell he was really well thought of by a lot of people, but it should be semi-private; meaning those folks that knew him personally.

How did Pam's parents feel about her relationship with Jim? Did they like him?
